Apartments If you require apartment style accommodation in Christchurch, our sister property, Chateau Blanc Suites Apartment Hotel offers 36 fully-serviced apartments, each with with a separate lounge, bedroom, bathroom and European-style kitchen with full facilities. Room Descriptions: Deluxe King Room 100 Deluxe King Rooms with a King Bed (convertible to 2 single beds) were refurbished in 1998. The colours are very much in keeping with the French Chateau-style architecture of the hotel. The large bathrooms feature a separate shower and full-size bathtub as well as a very practical sized vanity. Deluxe Twin Room 42 Deluxe Twin Rooms with 2 double beds were refurbished in 1997 and are decorated in garden colours of rust, tan and blues. The bathrooms are large and feature a full-size bath/shower. Standard Room 42 Standard Rooms with Queen Bed, twin beds or 3 single beds. These rooms have undergone a soft refurbishment and the bathrooms are smaller than the Deluxe Rooms with a shower over the bathtub. Executive Suites If you would like to pamper yourself, or need more room, why not upgrade to one of our Executive Suites. The decor is gold, green and burgundy and features watercolour paintings of flowers. The Chateau on the Park offers another unique experience for group tours in Christchurch, a Maori Hangi and Concert. A Hangi is the traditional Maori preparation of food by cooking in the ground. Groups staying at the Chateau on the park receive preferential pricing for the Hangi & Maori Cultural Experience as well as the added benefit of no additional transfer costs and the convenience of having this outstanding experience all under one roof. We suggest that you combine this Hangi & Maori Cultural Experience with one of the other unique deluxe dining experiences at the Chateau on the Park including the Flower & Herb Dinner Experience, Camelot Restaurant, Garden Court Brasserie or a poolside barbecue. Hangi & Maori Cultural Experience Maori welcome upon groups’ arrival at the hotel. Group then checks in and guests freshen up in their room. Visit the Hangi site in the gardens of the hotel (optional) A Maori representative will give an explanation of the cooking method. On arrival at the dinner venue guests receive a welcomeglass of Kiwifruit Wine or New Zealand Beer. Cultural Performance by Nga Hau e Wha National Marae Cultural Group (40 minutes). The Maori Culturalgroup size will be relative to the tour group size. A delicious buffet is served featuring the food prepared in the hangi. DELUXE FLOWER & HERB DINNING EXPERIENCE: The Chateau on the Park offers a unique dining option for your groups. The Deluxe Flower & Herb Dining Experience offers a 3 course menu featuring edible flowers and herbs freshly picked from their award winning gardens. Upon arrival at the restaurant your group will be met by the Executive Chef and Garden Manager who will lead them through the spectacular flower gardens and the formal Herb Garden and discuss how the hotel chefs prepare the produce in the Chateau on the Park’s kitchen. Once the garden walk is completed the Executive Chef will perform a culinary demonstration prior to dinner being served.
